138 – Birthday Break

138 – Birthday Break

New test of my work ethic: SNES-USB adapter. Played me some Kirby Super Star last night, as a test run… oh my.

Penny and I share a birthday, and that is in fact today. (We are both very aware of what happened eight years ago, and we’d rather not get into it.) You wanna do something cool for our birthday? Tell people about Enjuhneer. At the risk of sounding like a Christmas special (which Kali would approve of), being able to reach people and tell this story is seriously the greatest gift ever. </sappy monologue>

Also, don’t forget to vote! Email me with what strip’s style you’d like to see Penny and the girls in for next week. I’m taking the top 3. I’m also hoping to discover more strips to read in this way, so don’t be afraid to pick obscure ones! This should be a fun art experiment.

Speaking of other webcomics, I still don’t know whether or not Mr. Munroe has seen this. Critique want.

If you haven’t been to the Links page recently (or noticed that it has become its own page), you should check it out. I added three more links today — I’ll let you guys figure out which ones.

Oh, hey. My brother’s birthday is today. So’s my uncle’s now that I think about it. Thanks for reminding me. Must call them. Happy Birthday to you too.

  2. ZesuBen says:

It’s been so long… So long. I have to say, I love you more than anyone I’ve ever loved before. Earthbound AND Secret of Mana. <3

  3. Renold says:

I just started a new game of Lufia 2 the other day. It’s been SO LONG since I last played it. Such an amazing game.

    Also, happy birthday!

  4. Frank says:

Yenny, I have a question: why isn’t your tribute to Munroe the Great on the YooToobs? Video files were fine in the nineties, but this is the aughts, and we do things differently here.

  5. Enzeru Kagai says:

    Lol nice!

  6. patrick says:

That’s what emulators are for, silly.

  7. Bill M. says:

Yeah. I sort of have some bad stuff that happened on my birthday as well. The U.S. and Canada both entered World War II (albeit different years), and some guitarists died due to gunshots as well (“Dimebag” Darrell and John Lennon).

  8. Razmoudah says:

Ahhh….Seiken Densetsu 2 was a great game, as is the fan translate of Seiken Densetsu 3. They’re a big part of the reason why I have an SNES emulator on my laptop (along with Secret of Evermore, Lufia: And the Fortress of Doom, Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, Earthbound, Robotrek, and a few other fan translates).
