   I laughed when I read this, and I have to say, I’ve had awkward moments like that myself, like when a girl said she had a lot of music, I asked her if she had Braindamage. Forgot to specify it was a song by Pink Floyd.

    I used to live in Durham, NC, two blocks from a magnet high school called the North Carolina School of S&M. (Actually it was “Science and Math,” but we thought it was more fun to use the initials.)

    Also, @Kill_Meister: Have you read Questionable Content, perchance? The concept of an S&M childhood comes up a few times, including in the series starting here.
