494 – Immune System

As I said before, PAX East was totally worth the PAX Pox.

(I don’t think it’s actually swine flu. It’s closer to pneumonia I think…)

LOVE the face on Myra’s blouse.

Hmm, that is quite the interesting fact about Kali.

Good to hear Penny/Jenny, but I speak for all of us when I say: Get well soon.

  2. MrGBH says:

I actually have a genetic disorder. Something to do with a shortage of billirupin, which is used by white blood cells to create antibodies.

And my opinion of Myra has plummeted now that she’s mentioned that she believes all of that homeopathy nonsense.

  3. Domo says:

Oh hey, Kali is Bruce Willis from Unbreakable

  4. InvisibleDale says:

Is PAX pox related to the common con crud?

  5. Spike the Dragon Knight says:

Is it some kind of rare disease with an unknown cure… like cutie pox?

  6. Baughbe says:

    Pox Recipe:
    1) Take healthy individual
    2) Deprive of sleep and stress out with excessive travel
    3) Expose to different bacteriological flora than immune system is used to from multiple sources. Repeat haphazardly.
    4) Continue with sleep deprivation and compound with high emotional state and unusual foods and drinks.
    5) Top off with more sleep deprivation and excessive travel.

    Good times….

  7. Andy4Hire says:

Agreed–a very interesting fact about Kali.

Also, and way more importantly, feel better soon, Jenny. I recommend … um, something other than my usual strategy of just suffering through it until it goes away.

Ummm….someone needs to warn Myta that overloading on Vitamin C (irregardless of it being in its natural form or artificial form) is extremely hard on the body and can cause health problems. In fact, its the only vitamin that in its natural form can cause health problems from excessive overloading (while Vitamin D is the opposite, it itself is perfectly safe in both natural and artificial form, the rest are safe in their natural forms but can be dangerous when overloading on their artificial forms).

  9. xero says:

acctually it WAS swine flu and somthing like 70% of the people there took it home with you (thats why a nerd con is the perfect place to release the zombie plauge) *EVIL LAUGH*

  10. Random reader says:

Don’t many bacteria need dark locations, possibly similar for viruses? Maybe she stays well due to that. For that matter… light not only doesn’t interact with her (passes straight through), it passes through stuff inside the messenger bag even when said stuff has not been on her person long enough to otherwise be invisible (the alarm clock.) Or maybe she just warps physics or reality or something to an extent that pathogens cannot take…

…and I am now randomly curious as to whether her solid and liquid waste are invisible.

If we cant see her, neither can germs, nuff said
