I’m sure I’m not the first to think of this.
For those of you who do not follow the MLP fandom, there is a movie coming out called Equestria Girls, trailer linked here. It is a legit Hasbro thing, and it’s the reason Season 3 had half the episodes (they were concurrently working on the movie). For those of you who are missing the direct reference above, you wanna go here and skip ahead to about 15:11. (If you are not caught up on Season 3, this is kind of spoilerific.)
I find it rather peculiar that a fandom based on tolerance and love has reacted so negatively towards another project in a similar line. Sure, it’s not the direction we thought they’d go, but I’m all up for any new direction an artist wants to take, so I’m willing to give it a try. (I’m also aware it’s not the entire fandom that’s opposed to this, but it’s still a surprising number. I bet the actual target audience either doesn’t care or is looking forward to their Twilight Sparkle Bratz dolls.)

Oh hey now, I initially didnt give a chance based on the horrid initial designs. You know the ones with humans but with freaking wings, horns, tails and cutiemarks on faces.
Based on the trailer, it looks much more decent now. Will watch…but not in a movie theatre…
They’re still making My Little Pony‽ Wow! I remember it starting back in the eighties. My little cousin was into them (well, she was only young) but I was old enough to see how crap it was. I can’t believe they’re still making such nauseating, sickly sweet rubbish after all these years! You’d think the people working on it would’ve had more than anyone can stand by now!
