A Brief Interlude

A Brief Interlude

So a friend of mine just left yesterday/early this morning for basic training. I thought today was his last day here but apparently I’m a dumbass and got the date wrong. So yeah… this comic is one day late.

If you guys wanna wish him well, you’re more than welcome to leave comments here. (This goes for you RPI folks who know him as well as anyone who doesn’t.) I’m gonna print this page out and mail it to him eventually, so make ’em good!

I don’t know who you are, but any friend of one of my comic-writers is a kinda friend of mine! Good luck with everything, i hope you do well!

    (Cheesy good guy thumbs up)

  2. Sarah says:

Good luck in the army! Hope you don’t meet Bruno, because that would just be odd.

  3. Bob says:

As one who’s been though BMT (that’s Basic Military Training), just remember this simple fact – It’s all one big mind game. Everything the TIs and DIs do is to shape you into not an individual (no matter what they say with that Army of One line), but to shape you into a member of the team.

    Team America – F#$% Yeah!

Good luck, don’t get psyched out, and have fun with it!

    Free Tip
First day when they have the all you can eat BBQ, stay way from the stuff you WANT to eat. I have lots of friends that go to basic, if you eat anything deemed unhealthy on that day they will make you work out till you puke it back up.

In other words- “ITS A TRAP!!!!!!!!!”

  5. Bryan says:

Pay attention to what your drill sergeants are teaching you. They might be crazy sadistic nuts but they’re just trying to make sure you’ll live when things get though.

Watch out for your buddy and steer clear of the Blue Falcon.

    See you downrange! Hooah!

  6. Henry says:

The army? If your commander tells you to kill your friends or family, you must do it. Have fun being brainwashed.

I don’t know you, but being the subject of a webcomic you must be some form of geek, and so I wish you luck! Just remember, if the nukes are given to an AI, take action!!! Thank you for all you are doing for the rest of us!

  8. Xan says:

Good luck from Iraq. Glad to hear that young men and women are still willing to step up and serve.

    -Death from above!

  9. Dan says:

Oh yeah! I’ve got a gun and I’m proud to kill people just to protect US Government’s interests

  10. Patriot says:

Don’t be such a party pooper! Killing someone is right if everyone else agrees on it

Stay safe, and come back with lots of stories for us! 🙂
